Tips to control your dogs aggressive behavior

1. Turn them away:
When you sense your dog is trying to react negatively to a stimulus or trigger be sure to keep all four of their paws on the ground and turn them away. let the stimulus pass before continuing.

2. Body block:
Get your dog into a sit and have them stay in the sit until the stimulus or trigger passes, which teaches them that calm behavior is expected. Use your body to block their view and keep them sitting until the stimulus passes.

3. Passing with verbal commands:
As a stimulus or trigger passes your dog keep their focus on the walk ahead and have them pass the stimulus while verbally correcting their fixation and any aggressive behavior toward the stimulus.
