1. Constructive activity:
Let them expel energy with play and give them something to focus on when playtime is over like training commands or even a toy or project treat like rawhide.
2. Sit command:
Use the "sit" command to get your dog to calm down and reward them for calm energy by giving them praise or even a treat!
3. Off command:
Most hyper active behavior includes jumping up on everything and everyone.
Use the "off" command to teach them not to jump up on things or people, reinforcing the command as often as possible and rewarding good behavior and compliance.
